10-16-2013 Tin Roof

We went to the Tin Roof in downtown Indianapolis because we saw they had trivia.  It turned out that there was no Trivia, but they had an open mic night.  We had a gift certificate that said $10 off of $15.

The Tin Roof is located right across from Bankers Life Fieldhouse and it has a "new dive bar" ambiance.  There is no dive bar smell, but they have good beer prices and they often have entertainment.  The decor is chic cheap plywood and I like it. They had entertainment that night and that is talked about here.  5 stars

We got the build your own nachos with the black olives and mushrooms on the side.  We had them add guac.   The nachos were pretty good.  4 out of 5 stars.

We got the medium sized order of build your own nachos which was 9 bucks and we added guac which was 2 bucks more.  The beers cost 3 bucks.  The service was good.  With a 6 dollar tip and a 10 dollar coupon we ended up getting out of there for $20 bucks even.

All in all we give the place 4.5 stars out of 5.

Below is what UrbanSpoon says about it and I would have agreed, I have eaten here many times, but the food has gotten better.
